On Saturday, April 30, the winners of the 32nd Annual BC Book Prizes were announced. Now the BC Book Prizes Win the Winners Contest is back! Visit a participating bookstore starting May 15 and fill out an entry form for a chance to win a copy of each of this year’s winning books. There will be one prize package available to be won at each of the seven participating bookstores. Each prize package will include the following winning books:

  • All True Not a Lie in It by Alix Hawley, winner of the Ethel Wilson Fiction Prize
  • Tuco: The Parrot, the Others, and A Scattershot World by Brian Brett, winner of the Hubert Evans Non-Fiction Prize

Sheila EgoffThe British Columbia Library Association, one of the supporters of the Sheila A Egoff Children’s Literature Prize, are holding a raffle to help raise funds for the annual prize. 200 tickets at $25 each will be available from May 13 to May 30, 2016, and may be purchased on the BC Book Prizes website by clicking on the “Buy Now” button (located below the “Donate” button) in the left hand column.

Three prizes are available to be won in the raffle - three framed pieces of artwork by illustrators/artists, Cynthia Nugent ($900 monoprint and book), Kathryn E. Shoemaker ($1600 painting and book), and Richard Tetrault ($300 print and book).

The draw will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at the BC Book Prizes office.
