Event Description

Book lovers are invited to the sixth annual

BC Book Prize Soirée.

Featuring live music, food by Diva at the Met, an amazing silent auction and, of course, many shortlisted authors in attendance, this free public event at the Metropolitan Hotel is a great opportunity for those in BC’s vibrant literary community to mix and mingle with finalists and fans alike. Proceeds raised from the silent auction will support the BC Book Prizes On Tour program which takes finalist authors to schools, libraries and bookstores around the province. BC Book Prize finalist titles, provided by People’s Co-operative Bookstore, will be available for purchase. Look for finalists (identified with special name badges) and be sure to ask them to sign your book.

The Soirée is also the official launch for BC Book & Magazine Week, a week of readings and author events in cities and towns throughout BC.
