Event Description
On Saturday, April 24, 2010, the winners of seven BC Book Prizes, as well as the recipient of The Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Literary Excellence, will be presented before an audience of authors, publishers, media and friends.
Emceed by Shelagh Rogers of CBC Radio and featuring many well-known and beloved authors and personalities, the Gala is the province’s premier annual celebration of BC literature. British Columbia’s Lieutenant Governor, the Honourable Steven L. Point, OBC, will be in attendance to present the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Literary Excellence.
Please note:
- Tickets are now sold out.
- Doors open at 5:00 pm. All guests must be seated by 5:30 pm. Event begins at 5:45 sharp.
- If you are travelling from out of town, book a room with the Coast Hotels, a BC Book Prizes On Tour sponsor. There is a Special BC Book Prize weekend rate for all gala attendees. You will see it automatically puts in the name of the hotel, the dates of April 23 and 24 (so you can enjoy the weekend in Victoria if you like) and the booking code of ‘BCBOOK’. The rate is $99 comfort room or $119 for superior room (water view).
