Event Description
The 27th annual Lieutenant Governor’s BC Book Prize Gala will take place April 21, 2011 at the Kay Meek Centre in West Vancouver.
The Lieutenant Governor’s BC Book Prizes Gala is a celebration of finalist authors, illustrators and publishers. The recipients of the 2011 book prizes will be announced and the eighth annual Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Literary Excellence will be presented.
Canada’s award-winning comedy duo Bob Robertson and Linda Cullen will host the evening festivities.
Tickets will be available for pick up at the venue beginning at 7:00 pm and light refreshments will be available in the lobby area.
Doors to the theatre will open at 7:30 pm and the Awards Ceremony will begin at 8:00 pm. The ceremony will be approximately 1 hour long, followed by a Celebration Reception in the lobby.
The post-awards reception will include a cash bar and complimentary hor d’oeuvres. The event is expected to wrap up around 10:30 pm.
Tickets are $55 each with assigned seating. Tickets are not mailed and will be available at Will Call.
