Event Description
Book lovers are invited to the sixth annual
BC Book Prize Soirée.
Featuring live music, food by Diva at the Met, an amazing silent auction and, of course, many shortlisted authors in attendance, this free public event at the Metropolitan Hotel is a great opportunity for BC’s vibrant literary community to mix and mingle with finalists and fans alike. Proceeds raised from the silent auction
There’ll be shortlisted titles on sale too, thanks to People’s Co-operative Bookstore. Look for finalists (identified with special name badges) and be sure to ask them to sign your books.
Become a member of the West Coast Book Prize Society ($2) and be entered to win one of three great prizes drawn that evening: Two tickets to an Evening with Simon Winchester (May 30, Vancouver International Writers Festival), Two tickets to Touchstone Theatre’s “The Dissemblers” (May1-10 on Granville Island) and $50 Gift Certificate from Blackberry Books.
