Andrew Nikiforuk is The Tyee’s First Writer in Residence. Andrew was nominated for the BC Book Prizes in 2009 for his book, Tar Sands: Dirty Oil and the Future of a Continent. He has a unique voice and keen eye when investigating and reporting on environmental issues.
The Tyee says, “In the months to come, Andrew will be writing a regular column under the heading of Energy and Equity.” Read Andrew’s inaugural piece at TheTyee.ca.

The 28th Annual Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts takes place August 12-15, 2010 in Sechelt.
